이모펑크의 중심 Sum41의 Still Waiting입니다. 2002년 2집 Does This Look Infected? 에 수록되어있습니다.캐나다 출신의 펑크밴드로, 자칫 그게 그거로 들릴 수 있는 펑크에 팝적인 멜로디와 적절한 헤비함으로 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다.
2000년대에 들어서면서 이모코어다,이모펑크다하면서 Emo가대세인데, 역시나 대중들을 포섭하기 위해서는 멜로디를 앞세워야 하나봅니다. Sum41은 이모펑크계에서도 확고한 위치를 점하고 있습니다. 그들의 첫싱글 Fat Lip은 빌보드모던락차트 1위를 차지하기도 했었죠.
저는 한때 펑크들을 적에 Offspring,Green Day보다는 Sum41을 더 많이 듣고 다녔습니다. 곡자체는 2분 38초로 굉장히 짧은데, M/V에서 처음 1분간 영어로 떠듭니다. 대충 대머리아저씨가 밴드이름에 대해 시비거는듯? ...아님 말구여.
